Since mid-September, we have been patiently awaiting the release of Poppy Delevingne’s capsule shoe collection with Edgardo Osorio of Aquazzura, which promised to feature fun looks for every occasion. The boots and shoes released from the Poppy Delevingne x Aquazzura collection more than meet this goal, and it is easy to see where the duo wanted to push the footwear. And you’ll be able to scoop up a pair for yourself soon enough, as the collection will officially be available in stores and onlineon Dec. 10.
“We wanted to cover our bases,” Delevingne told Vogue. The collection shows boots, strappy heels, and flats that girls of many fashion styles would love to wear. Many of the shoes are featured in shades of black and brown, allowing one color to be edgier, while still showing the same silhouette. This helped the looks reach a broader audience, or just helped women see how much they would love their new boots in any color!
The looks are exactly what we hoped for with this collaboration, with shoes that are fun and quirky, yet still sophisticated and smart. There is something so festive about the Poppy Delevingne x Aquazzura collection, and you’re sure to make people smile if you go out anywhere wearing the stunning shoes.
This collection comes just in time for the holiday season, where women everywhere are looking for the perfect shoes to polish off their holiday party outfits. The footwear in this collection ranges from casual to dressy, with all being absolute showstoppers. In order to promote good dressing and taste, the stylish Delevingne gave a bit of advice to Vogue about how to successfully dress for the holidays.
“Never wear green, red, and gold for fear of looking like a Christmas tree of present,” she began. “Holiday sweaters are fine, though – even better when punked-up with a leather pant or combat boot.”
This advice seems easy enough to follow, and is sure to keep you festively fabulous no matter where ‘you’re going. While this collection doesn’t feature any combat boots, there is a chic pair of black ankle boots that just might do the trick, especially if you want to wear nothing but this collection this season! Going off of this, Delevingne revealed her favorite shoes for holiday parties to be ankle boots, gave some more fashion advice in her interview with Vogue.
“Pair them with anything from skinny jeans to polka-dot tights and a vintage tea dress,” she said. She also continued on to give some practical advice on wearing heels to parties. “If your feet begin to ache, and your heels aren’t lasting as long as you’d hope them to, take them off!”
Leaving your shoes in the corner or under a table is a great thing that not everyone may be willing to do. But, if you remember this advice when your feet are starting to hurt you might just thank her later, when your feet aren’t as sore by the end of the night. However, she also offered up a final word of advice on this matter. Be sure to keep an eye on your shoes, because, “You don’t want someone running off with your Aquazzuras!”
